Logos usually sit on a flat colour, so this mode flood-fills that colour from the corners instead of guessing with AI. The inside of letters stays intact, and you get a transparent PNG. Free: every tool, up to 1,000 px, no watermark. HD & batch: original resolution and up to 50 images, A$4.99 for 30 days or A$14.99 lifetime.

JPG has no transparency, so a transparent background is saved as white. Choose PNG or WebP to keep it transparent.
HD & batch: original resolution, up to 50 images, ZIP
Only documents whose rules allow a digitally produced plain background are listed. The photo opens in the photo tool, which crops and checks it.
Not offered for AU citizenship, AU passport, AU visa, Ochre Card NT, RWVP Tasmania, WWC Check VIC, WWC Check WA, Canada visa IRCC and others: their rules prohibit editing or replacing the background, so retake against a plain wall instead.
Logo mode looks at the colour in each corner of the image and removes every pixel connected to the edge that is within the Tolerance of one of those colours. Because it only spreads from the edge, enclosed areas of the same colour, such as the white inside an O, A or e, are kept. A JPEG's compression noise around the edges is absorbed by the tolerance. The result is a crisp cut with the original colours untouched.
Tuning the tolerance
Leftover speckles or a pale halo: raise the tolerance.
Parts of the logo disappearing: lower it; the logo has a colour close to the background.
A logo touching the edge of the image: add a margin first, or repair with the Keep brush.
Enclosed white you do want removed (for example the counter of an O): use the Remove brush.
Raster versus vector
A transparent PNG is right for web pages, documents and slides. For print, signage and anything that will be scaled up a lot, ask the logo's designer for the vector file (SVG, AI or EPS). No pixel tool can add detail that is not there. If you only have a small JPEG, export at its original size rather than scaling up.
Dark backgrounds
A logo cut from a white background can look fringed on a dark page if the original had anti-aliased edges blending into white. Use the Edge cut-off in the other modes, or switch to Product or object mode, whose soft matte handles anti-aliasing better, then check the result on a dark background colour before downloading.
Frequently asked questions
Will the inside of letters stay?
Yes. The fill only spreads from the edge, so enclosed areas are kept.
My logo has a coloured background, not white. Does it work?
Yes. It uses whatever colour is in the corners.
What format should I export?
PNG to keep transparency.
Can it make a vector logo?
No. It produces a transparent PNG. For print, use the original vector file.
Is the logo uploaded?
No. Logo mode is plain image processing in your browser.
Parts of my logo vanished.
Lower the tolerance, or paint them back with the Keep brush.
