US Global Entry photo

Global Entry is the US Customs and Border Protection trusted traveller program for faster arrival into the United States. You apply online and pay a non-refundable fee, then attend an interview. Your photo is captured by CBP, not uploaded with the application, so there is no Global Entry photo to prepare. Australians are eligible to apply under an arrangement between the two countries.

Bring a photo?
No

Check the official source. CBP's how-to-apply page (read 2026-10-29) states the $120 non-refundable fee and asks applicants to bring a valid passport and one other ID to the interview. It does not mention a photo; that the photo is captured at the enrollment interview is long-standing practice but not confirmed on that page.

How it works

  1. Create a Trusted Traveler Programs account and complete the Global Entry application online.
  2. Pay the $120 non-refundable application fee.
  3. Wait for conditional approval, then schedule an interview (or use Enrollment on Arrival where offered).
  4. At the interview, bring your valid passport and one other form of identification; CBP takes your photo and fingerprints.

Why this site has no tool for it

This site only makes photos for documents that accept a photo you supply. Here the photo is taken at the interview, so a file or print you bring is not used, and selling one would be misleading. For documents that do take your own photo, such as passports, many visas and some working with children checks, use the ID photo hub or the photo maker.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a passport photo for Global Entry?

No. CBP captures your photo at the enrollment interview; the online application does not ask for one.

How much does Global Entry cost?

The application fee is US$120 and is non-refundable even if the application is denied, according to CBP's how-to-apply page.

What do I bring to the interview?

Your valid passport and one other form of identification, per CBP's page.

Is Global Entry the same as a US visa?

No. Global Entry speeds up arrival processing; it does not replace a visa or ESTA. Visa applicants need a DS-160 photo.
